Testing provided by the State of Tennessee, the Office of Governor Bill Lee and the Tennessee National Guard.
The State of Tennessee, the Office of Governor Bill Lee and the Tennessee National Guard will offer free COVID-19 testing at Volkswagen Chattanooga on Sunday, July 26. This testing site is free and open to the public. The test will consist of a simple and comfortable nasal swab. This will be a drive-up site with first-come, first-served queuing. All are welcome to this no-cost testing.

Am I eligible to take the test if I do not have symptoms of COVID-19?
Yes, those without symptoms are permitted, and encouraged, to participate in this free COVID-19 testing. Widespread testing is a critical priority for the State of Tennessee to manage the fight against COVID-19.
Will I need to get out of my vehicle in order to be tested?
No, this is a drive-up testing site. The testing is done while you remain in your vehicle.
Do I need to make an appointment?
No, you do not need to make an appointment to be tested at this event. Testing will be available from 8 a.m. to noon. All cars in line at the cutoff time of 12 p.m. will be tested, but those who arrive past the cutoff will not.
Which COVID-19 test will be utilized at the Volkswagen plant?
This is a viral test for COVID-19 (not an antibody test). A nasal swab will be used to collect a specimen. This test is not the nasal mid-turbinate (NMT) swab, also known as the Deep Nasal Swab.
Who will conduct the testing?
The State of Tennessee and the Tennessee National Guard will provide the testing and staff at the Volkswagen plant.
How will my test result be shared with me?
You will be able access your test results through an online portal.
How long will it take for me to receive my test result?
You can expect to receive your COVID-19 test results within 3-5 days. The amount of time it takes to receive your results is dependent on the number of tests that the lab is able to handle.
Will testing be offered for people of all ages?
Yes, all ages are welcome to be tested at this site.
Do I need to be resident of Tennessee in order to be tested?
No, Tennessee residency is not a requirement for testing.
Will I need to show my driver’s license in order to be tested?
No, a driver’s license is not required for testing.

You will be asked to provide your name, address, and phone number to allow someone to contact you with your test results.
